* NATIONAL PARK TOUR in the morning:

The beautiful Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, the world’s southernmost national park, is located 12 kilometers (approximately 7.5 miles) from Puerto de Ushuaia, the commercial port where cruise ships dock. The tour includes a few “low-impact” guided walks of 15 minutes each, a 30-minute snack and restroom break, and the remainder of time in a comfortable van with your amazing guide.

* LOBOS TOUR in the afternoon

We set sail from the local tourist pier crossing the wide Bay of Ushuaia until we reach the Beagle Channel through Paso Chico. There we will sail around the Island of the Birds where we will be able to appreciate the Fuegian avifauna. We will observe: Skúas, Black-browed Albatross, Vapor Ducks, Cauquenes, Cook Gulls and Gray Gulls.

Then, we will approach Isla de los Lobos where we will be able to observe sea lions with one and two hairs. Both islands belong to the Bridges archipelago. Arriving at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators), we will be able to see the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Rock Cormorants while listening to the story of the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes that he starred in 1930. We will make a descent in Puerto Karelo, belonging to the Bridges Islands, where you can visit genuine Yámana shell middens. This guided walk lasts approximately 20 minutes and concentrates us on a panoramic point where very good photographs can be taken.

Perito Moreno Traditional Excursion:

It is the classical tour to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier without physical demands and with plenty of time to explore the National Park’s walkways and balconies.

The guided tour departs from your hotel in El Calafate and, after a journey of 80km through a succession of lakes, streams, forests and snowy mountains we arrive at the west end of the Magellan’s Peninsula, where the walkways complex and visitor’s area is located.
The walkways are arranged in several levels that allow you to see the glacier from different angles and balconies. Plenty of time will be granted to walk through the walkways and appreciate the Perito Moreno Glacier upfront..

According to your fitness level, you will be able to reach the lowest balcony, which is the nearest to the glacier, or only get to the first balcony which is easily accessible for everyone and from where you have a spectacular view. An elevator is currently operating to facilitate access to the first balcony to people with reduced mobility.

Full day at El Chalten:

Visit to La Leona, a historic parador. Arrival at El Chalten. Head for the “Los Condores y Aguilas” viewpoint, from where you can appreciate Lake Viedma and the vast Patagonian steppe. We then continue on foot to the Chorillo del Salto, a 20-metre-high waterfall. Lunch with soft drinks. Return to El Calafate.

Arrival:  5.55pm

“Salta la Linda”, as the Argentines call it, is the only city in the country with such a rich neo-colonial architectural heritage. Visit the church and cathedral of San Francisco, the Cabildo (a historic monument), the San Bernardo convent and the sanctuary of the Virgin “De los Tres Cerritos”. Lunch and dinner at leisure.

Departure for Cafayate via the magnificent Quebrada de la Conchas, with its multicoloured rocks and lunar landscapes forged by erosion. Visit some surprising geological sites such as the Amphitheatre, the Devil’s Throat and the Casa de los Lorros (parrot houses). Arrival in Cafayate, situated at an altitude of 1660m, famous for its vineyards. Visit to a winery. Return to Salta. Lunch and dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Departure from Salta at 07:30, then passing by the capital of Jujuy, a few kilometres away begins La Quebrada de Humahuaca, declared a World Heritage Site in 2003, within which we will visit Tilcara to see the town and the pre-Inca site of Pucara. Then, towards the small town of Humahuaca across the symbolic boundary of the Tropic of Capricorn, we’ll see a unique landscape, situated at over 4,000 metres altitude are Las Serranías del Hornocal or Cerro de les 14 Couleurs, after taking photos and contemplating this natural wonder, we return by the same route, to Purmamarca. Night in Purmamarca. Lunch and dinner at leisure. Night in Purmamarca.
In the early hours of the morning, after enjoying the Cerro 7 Colores, we will take the 52 national road. Already on this road and travelling through the Cuesta de Lipan, we will reach 4170 m.a.s.l. at Altos del Morado, before descending into a dreamlike landscape such as Salinas Grandes. Here we’ll have time to take photos, see the pools where the salt is extracted and the Ojos del Salar (depending on the date). Lunch at leisure. Return to Salta.

* Walking tour to central station & train ride to Garganta/Throat station (25min)
